Method
- Step 1Cook the rice
Prepare white rice according to package directions and keep warm.

Bring a pot of water to boil. Carefully add eggs and cook for 6-7 minutes for jammy yolks.
NoteFor perfectly jammy eggs, use room temperature eggs and start timing once the water returns to a boil.

Transfer eggs to an ice bath immediately. Once cooled, peel carefully.

Mix soy sauce, water, sugar, chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and chili flakes in a bowl.

Cut peeled eggs in half and place them in the marinade. Let sit for at least 15 minutes, spooning marinade over occasionally.
