Schritte4

  1. Schritt 1. Heat the salt

Put the fine salt in a saucepan over high heat and let it warm until very hot, about 5 minutes.

    Salz
  2. Schritt 2. Pop the rice

Add 1 tablespoon of dry parboiled rice to the hot salt and stir quickly until the crackling stops, meaning all the grains have popped.

Every 1 Tbsp of dry rice makes about 1/4 cup of popped rice krispies.

  3. Schritt 3. Strain off the salt

Remove the rice quickly and pour it into a fine mesh strainer over another saucepan. Shake the salt off the rice completely and set the crisped rice aside.

Reuse the caught salt for the next batch.

  4. Schritt 4. Repeat in batches

Continue tablespoon by tablespoon with the same salt until you have the amount of rice krispies you need.
