Elaboración

  1. Paso 1Make the meatballs

Combine ground pork and ground beef with breadcrumbs, an egg, and salt and pepper. Roll into golf-sized meatballs, making 16 to 18 meatballs total.

    Nota

You can buy meatballs from the supermarket if you prefer, but homemade ones are much tastier. Turkey or chicken meatballs work too.

  2. Paso 2Fry the meatballs

Fry the meatballs until golden brown and cooked all the way through.

    Nota

The pork provides fat and flavor while the beef gives color and helps the meatballs hold their shape.

  3. Paso 3Make the pesto

Combine basil, pine nuts, garlic, olive oil, parmesan, salt, and pepper in a food processor until smooth and chunky.

    Nota

You can buy pesto from the store, but making it from scratch is much better.

  5. Paso 5Combine and finish

Toss the pasta with the pesto and meatballs. Add cream and extra pasta water to make the sauce nice and saucy.

    Nota

Don't be shy with the cream or pasta water - the sauce should be super saucy.
