Spicy Marry Me Shrimp Gnocchi

Harissa-spiced shrimp in a creamy tomato and parmesan gnocchi sauce.

  1. Passaggio 1Marinate the shrimp

    Toss the shrimp with harissa, seasoning salt, BBQ seasoning and cayenne. Let it sit while you prep everything else.

    Heat a little olive oil in a large pan and quickly sear the shrimp until just cooked through (2-3 min per side). Remove and set aside.

    In the same pan, melt the butter and sauté the onion until soft. Add the garlic and tomato paste and cook for another minute.

    Add the sun-dried tomatoes and cornstarch, stirring everything together.

    Slowly pour in the chicken stock and half-and-half, stirring until smooth. Add Italian seasoning and let the sauce simmer until creamy and slightly thickened.

    Nota

    Start with 1 cup of chicken stock and reserve the rest to thin if needed after the cornstarch thickens the sauce.

    Meanwhile, cook the gnocchi according to the package directions. Drain.

    Add the gnocchi to the sauce and gently fold everything together. Stir in the parmesan until melted and glossy.

    Add the spicy shrimp back in and give everything a good toss.
