   Preheat oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

   Add peanut butter, sugar, and egg to a bowl. Mix until fully combined and a thick dough forms.

   Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough per cookie and roll into balls.

   Place on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.

   Gently flatten each cookie with a fork, then press again in the opposite direction to create a crisscross pattern.

   Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until the edges are set. The centers may still look slightly soft.

   Let cool on the baking sheet for at least 10 minutes. The cookies will be very soft straight out of the oven and will firm up as they cool.

   Nota

   The cookies will firm up as they cool, so don't worry if they seem soft right out of the oven.
